So what exactly does “go with the flow” mean and why did I use this phrase for my business name?
When I started on my path into Kinesiology and Mind body medicine, I discovered many things about myself. One of these realisations was my need to control everything that happened in my world - to have things just perfect! But when things didn’t go as I had planned, I would feel stress, anger and frustration.
One of my big lessons in life is to learn to go with the universal flow of life.
The phrase is a constant reminder to me!
To let go of percieved ideas of having things just right or perfect. To go with what life gives you rather than trying to mold life to be exactly as I may think I want it to be.
When we are constantly trying to control events in our lives or overthink what’s unfolding, we stop the universal flow moving freely through our lives and thoughts.
How do I practice “going with the flow”?
By simply being aware of my thoughts and responses when things don’t go as planned.
I take deep belly breaths to calm my sympathetic nervous system.
I get perspective and remind myself that I cannot control everything in life.
I quiet my mind
I accept life as a flow of change.
I trust in the universe.
Life will just fall into place when we go with the universal flow..
Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow.
Let reality be reality.
Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
